PARSIPPANYย โ€” Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce held a networking meeting on “Social Media & Why We All Need to Engage.” The event was presented byย Ilene Greene and Ted Polmar, Principalsย of MarketShare Communications and BizCircles Entrepreneurs Business Network.

“There was a time when social media was considered by some as a passing fad. Something that “the kids” were using, that businesses could never really benefit from. Today roughly eight-in-ten online Americans (79%) now use Facebook, a 7-percentage-point increase from a surveyย conducted about one year ago,” said Ilene Greene.

Popular social platforms have become marketing giants, offering businesses valuable data about their customers and a (mostly) free way to reach them. Social media for business is no longer optional.

The attendees had an opportunity toย find out who is using social media, how often they engage and which ones.ย Socialย Media helps you get: ย Exposure โ€ข Brand Awareness โ€ข Customer Loyalty and more.

The event wasย held at IHOP, 792 Route 46.
