MORRIS COUNTY โ The Board of Trustees of Morris County Interfaith Food Pantry and Resource Center has announced the appointment ofย Carolyn Lakeย as the organizationsโย new Executive Director.
โCarolyn possesses a deep understanding of and commitment to our mission,โ said Gregory J. Supron, President IFP Board of Trustees. โIn addition, Carolyn has played a major role in shaping the IFPโs strategy and programs over the years.ย We are confident that under Carolynโs leadership the IFP will continue to make great strides toward our vision of ending hunger in Morris County.โLake will succeedย Rosemary Gilmartin, who retired after 24 years on December 31. Lake has been with the organization for 13 years, most recently as associate director, but also as director of operations and director of community relations and development.
โWe congratulate Carolyn and look forward to a continued excellent working relationship between Morris County government and the Food Pantry,โโ said Morris County Freeholder Kathy DeFillippo. โThey provide a very important service for our countywide community.โโ
โItโs an exciting time in our history,โ said Lake. โMoving forward, we will build on Rosemaryโs legacy by expanding and strengthening our programs, but also look to expand partnerships across our network to fortify the nutrition safety net for all county residents.โ
The Interfaith Food Pantry will celebrate Gilmartinโs legacy at its annualย Spring Gala, to be held in her honor onย April 5ย at the Birchwood Manor in Whippany. The Gala also marks the Silver (25th) Anniversary of the IFP.
