PARSIPPANY — Honest Restaurant, a new Indian vegetarian restaurant, celebrated a ribbon cutting grand opening in the Arlington Shopping Plaza on Wednesday, August 16. The opening coincided with India’s 72nd Independence Day.
Independence Day is annually celebrated on August 15, as a national holiday commemorating the nation’s independence from the United Kingdom on August 15, 1947.
Mayor Michael Soriano, Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce President Robert and Owner Lav Patel with other dignitaries cut the ribbon during the celebration.
Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Advisory Committee Vice Chairman Frank Cahill presented owner Lav Patel a plaque thanking him for choosing Parsippany and welcoming him to the community. Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce President Robert Peluso also presented Lav with plaque accepting their membership in the Chamber of Commerce.
Honest Restaurant serves original and authentic vegetarian Indian food.
Honest Restaurant is open Sunday to Thursday 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 11:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Honest Restaurant is also located in Edison and Jersey City as well as locations in Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Georgia and Illinois.
Honest Restaurant is a member of the Parsippany Area Chamber of Commerce.
