Celebrating Summer Reading at the Parsippany Library

PARSIPPANYย โ€”ย Children who read eightย hours so far in theย Summer Reading Club at the Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library celebrated at the Halftime Party, the halfway point of the Summer Reading Program with games, an author presentation and an icy treat.

Award winning author for children andย teens,ย Alisonย ย Ashley Formento shared some of her stories; This Tree Counts, These Bees Count, These Rocks Count, and These Seas Count to a captive audience. ย She also presented a specialย Writing Seeds Workshopย for third to seventhย grade students. ย Students were given a prompt then added threeย words and proceeded to create a paragraph or two. ย Stories were then shared with the group.

The Parsippany-Troy Hills Public Library is located at 449 Halsey Road.
