PARSIPPANYย โ€” Parsippany-Troy Hills Township Council President Paul Carifi, Jr. announced the Township Council meeting for Tuesday, March 6 has been cancelled,ย and will be rescheduled for Tuesday March 13 at 7:30 p.m.

The meeting was cancelled after Mayor Michael Soriano announced that Town Hall would be closing for the evening.

Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency as New Jersey braces forย another big coastal stormย that couldย dump up to a foot of snowย in parts of the state.

The state of emergency is effective at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. Typically Township Council meetings can last until 9:00 p.m. or 10:00 p.m.

Although the storm is not expected to be as strong as theย monster nor’easterย that ravaged New Jersey and other states along the East Coast on Friday, it is expected to bring a big mix of snow, rain and gusty winds.
