PARSIPPANY — The Woman’s Club of Parsippany-Troy Hills recently conducted its annual drive to collect new bras and children’s underwear to donate to women and their children living at Jersey Battered Women’s Service shelters.
JBWS provides a safe house and transitional living accommodations for victims of abuse, who are often forced to leave their homes with only the clothing they are wearing. The Woman’s Club collected 60 new bras and over 200 assorted pairs of new children’s underwear from club members and friends. This Mardi Bras Collection, conducted during the Mardi Gras season, is a project of the New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs and the Distributing Dignity Organization.
