PARSIPPANY — For the sixth year in a row the Parsippany United Methodist Church will present a full length original Christmas play written by Pastor Jeff Edwards. “Can You See Anything?” will be presented on Friday, December 11 and Saturday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m.
A cast of 28 including children, youth and adults will portray the drama with both humor and passion about a quest to recover the true meaning of Christmas. The play appeals to all ages.
The public is invited and admission is free. There will be a free will offering to support the ministries of the church.
The play stars Garrett Belanus, Andrea Christiango, Kayla Christofferson, Ryan Christofferson, Beth Cogan, Cassie Cogan, Marissa Cogan, Frances DiPietro, Jeff Edwards, Maidie Erickson, Ryan Erickson, Terry Germann, Amy Gripp, Anna Gripp, Erika Gripp, Maggie Letsch, Jessie Maclay, Jake Matheis, Anthony Miceli, Kaia Mihalko, Katie Mihalko, Mary Mihalko, Eric Roelofs, Garin Roelofs, Jean Sakelakos, Julia Sklow, Kaitlyn Sklow and Larissa Smith.
The set is constructed by Monica Hawkins, and the lighting technician is Anthony DiPietro. Eric Roelofs and Darryl Sokolowski are the audio technicians and Andee Mihalko has organized costumes.
Anita Laux choreographed a dance that appears in the play. Over the past five years the drama ministry of the church has produced ten original plays that seek to express the Gospel, and over the years a great deal of talent has been developed. Audiences of these productions are typically astonished to encounter theater of such exceptional quality.
