PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany-Troy Hills Planning Board held its annual reorganization meeting on Monday, January 11.
Mayor James Barberio submitted the following appointments:
- New member Daniel Caivano as Alternate #2 for a term ending December 31, 2017.
- Returning member Turan Ayaz as Class IV member for a term ending December 31, 2019.
- Returning member Paula Csantaveri as Class IV member for a term ending December 31, 2019.
- Reappointing Jennifer Vealey as Class II member for a term ending December 31, 2017. She was appointed as a representative from the Administration.
In addition, Dr. Louis Valori, Council President, was reappointed as a Class III member for a term ending December 31, 2016.
Mayor James Barberio did not reappoint long time board member, Kenneth Purzycki.
Daniel Caivano, new on the Planning Board, lives in the Sedgefield section of Parsippany.
Planning Board Attorney Kelly Carey held the swearing in of the members.
In addition to the sworn in members Mr. Robert Keller, Mr. Vincent Aperawic, Mr. Thomas Dinsmore, Mr. Dominic Mele and Mr. Casey P. Parikh.
Then Mr. Casey P. Parikh was elected Chairman, and Mr. Robert Keller was elected Vice-Chairman.
Ms. Marget Mader, was reaffirmed as Planning Board Secretary.
Robert Keller, Turan Ayaz, Dominic Mele and Thomas Dinsmore were reappointed to the Minor Site Plan and Subdivision Committee.
The Planning Board Professionals Board Planner, Ed Snieckus, Burgis Associates, Board Attorney, Kelly Carey, DiFrancisco Bateman and Board Engineer/Traffic Consultant Gordon Meth, The RBA Group was held as a carry over and will be discussed at the next meeting to be held on Monday, January 25.
The Planning Board is responsible for administering, updating and enforcing the Township’s master plan which is a comprehensive, long-range plan intended to direct the community’s growth and development. It also reviews all sub-divisions and site plans.
The Planning Board is comprised of nine members plus two alternates appointed by Mayor James Barberio. These include the Mayor, a Council member, a representative from the Administration and six residents from the general public.
