PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany Rescue and Recovery Unit has announced its elected positions for the 2016 year.
William Sanford, President, Jack Gianetti, Treasurer, Rafael Ortiz, Secretary, Jake Beg, Sergeant at Arms, Louis Yuliano, Chief.
In 1960 the unit was established in order to provide the Township with a tactical rescue team which includes vehicle extrications, diving, swift and ice water rescue. In addition to these services.
The squad had a confined space team and provides pump outs and board ups after fire or theft.
The operations aspect led by Chief Louis Yuliano, a Parsippany Hills Graduate, has a degree in Management and Decision Science from Monmouth University along with a masters from Centenary.
He plans to lead a group of 35 to success in the 2016 year.
Since he has joined Parsippany Rescue and Recovery in 2010 he had ranked as Lieutenant, Captain and Treasurer.
As Chief he plans to maintain the departments presence in the community and grow the organization by bettering the members in the way of training and education.
“Parsippany Rescue and Recovery is the unsung hero of the community providing behind the scenes services to assist the administration and fire districts to ensure the Township is converted no matter what the circumstances are, said Yuliano”
“As Chief I plan on developing this department as a premier squad not only in the Township but on a County level as well, he continued”
