A first reading is also scheduled for Ordinance 2026:32, which would amend the township’s traffic code regarding stopping and standing restrictions on certain streets.
Among the resolutions on the non-consent agenda, the council will consider spending Municipal Open Space, Recreation and Farmland and Historic Preservation Trust Fund money to convert the roller hockey rink into pickleball courts, as well as a separate expenditure from the same fund to provide a grant match for the Stickley Museum site plan project.
The council is also expected to approve budget insertions for a National Opioid Settlement, a Pedestrian Safety Grant and Click It or Ticket highway safety funding, along with a new amusement games license for Birdies Hot Chicken and a contract with Underground Utilities Corp. for the Puddingstone Heights sanitary sewer improvements, Phase III.
On the consent agenda, the council will consider authorizing the Planning Board to investigate whether four properties qualify as non-condemnation redevelopment areas: 1633 Littleton Road, 1599 Littleton Road, 15 Waterview Boulevard and 199 Smith Road. Also on the consent agenda is a two-year shared services agreement with the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Education for School Resource Officer and Special Law Enforcement Officer services, a three-year addendum to a shared services agreement with the Town of Boonton for municipal court services, and a contract for traffic signal repairs at Littleton Road and Park Road/Crestview Drive.
The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, at the Municipal Building. The council’s next agenda meeting is set for Tuesday, September 1, followed by a regular meeting on Tuesday, September 15.
