PARSIPPANY — Wall Landscape Services. partnered with Parsippany-Troy Hills Fire District 6 to clean and mulch the Little Lost Cemetery, a small historic burial ground located behind the district’s firehouse on Littleton Road.
According to the company, the cleanup is an annual effort undertaken in partnership with the fire district to maintain the site.
The Little Lost Cemetery contains 14 tombstones and is believed to be connected to a former orphanage, the Morris County Children’s Home, according to local historical records. The graves largely belong to children who died in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The cemetery sits near the northeast intersection of Littleton Road and Interstate 287 and has been maintained by District 6 firefighters for years.
“It’s always a pleasure and honor to be able to assist with this on an annual basis,” said Tommy Wall of Wall Landscape Services.
