PARSIPPANY — The Township Council approved a contract for the purchase and installation of sound, computer equipment and peripherals in the Council Chambers and Mayor’s Conference Room, awarding the work to JCT Solutions in the amount of $161,704.69.
The council voted 4-0, with Councilman Matt McGrath absent, to authorize the contract. Councilman Matthew Kavanagh made the motion, which was seconded by Councilman Paul Carifi Jr. Council President Judy Hernandez and Council Vice President Diya Patel also voted in favor.
The contract was awarded through the Bergen County Cooperative Purchasing System, contract number BC-BID-24-38, which allows the township to acquire goods and services through a cooperative purchasing program without seeking public bids, under the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-10.
JCT Solutions, based in Springfield, submitted the winning proposal for the equipment and installation work. The township’s Chief Financial Officer certified that sufficient funds are available in the budget to cover the purchase.
The resolution also authorizes the Mayor, Township Administrator, Chief Financial Officer, Township Attorney, Township Clerk and Township Purchasing Agent to execute any documents necessary to carry out the contract.
