PARSIPPANY — The township launched America 250th Week on Monday with a flag raising ceremony honoring those who have dedicated their lives to protecting the country and the community.

The ceremony recognized military veterans, active-duty service members, law enforcement officers, and first responders for their commitment, courage, and sacrifice. Organizers said the event also served as a moment to remember those who gave their lives in service to others.
As the nation approaches its 250th anniversary, township officials said the week-long celebration is an opportunity to honor the country’s shared history, recognize those who have defended its freedoms, and reaffirm a commitment to building a stronger future together.
Additional events are planned throughout the week as part of the America 250th Week celebration.
