PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany Leo Club, in partnership with the American Red Cross, will host a community blood drive on Saturday, December 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the International Swaminarayan Satsang Organization (ISSO) Temple Community Hall, 1699 Route 46 East.

Organizers are asking residents not only to donate, but also to spread the word and encourage friends and family to give. The club is inviting volunteers to join its league of “Ambassadors” to help grow its circle of regular donors.
According to the American Red Cross, someone in the United States needs blood every two seconds, and a single unit of donated blood can save up to three lives. A car crash victim may need as many as 100 units of blood.
The Leo Club is the youth service program of Lions Clubs International, built on the motto “Leadership, Experience, Opportunity.” The blood drive is supported by partners the Parsippany Lions Club, ISSO Parsippany and i3 (Innovation, Intelligence, Impact).
