PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany Police Athletic League (PAL), in partnership with Mayor Pulkit Desai and Frank Sblendorio Jr. of ShopRite Sunrise Kitchens in Parsippany, recently donated pallets of bottled water to the Parsippany Department of Public Works (DPW) to help ensure outdoor workers remain hydrated and safe during the extreme summer heat.
As temperatures continue to rise throughout the summer months, the donation serves as a small token of appreciation for the dedicated DPW employees who work tirelessly outdoors each day maintaining parks, roadways, athletic fields, and other critical infrastructure throughout Parsippany.
“During these hot summer days, it is important that we recognize and support the hardworking men and women of our Department of Public Works,” said Nicholas Bronzino, Executive Director of the Parsippany PAL. “Their efforts often go unnoticed, yet they play a critical role in keeping our community running smoothly. We are proud to partner with Mayor Desai and Frank Sblendorio Jr. of ShopRite Sunrise Kitchens to provide this donation and show our appreciation for all that they do.”
Bronzino added, “We have already ordered our second round of water pallets, which will be delivered this week. Ensuring that our DPW employees have access to water and remain hydrated while working in these challenging summer conditions is a priority. We are grateful to our community partners for stepping up and helping support those who do so much for Parsippany every day.”
Mayor Pulkit Desai expressed his appreciation for the collaboration, stating, “Our DPW employees work under challenging conditions, especially during periods of extreme heat. We are grateful to the Parsippany PAL and ShopRite Sunrise Kitchens for their generosity and continued commitment to supporting our community and the employees who serve it every day.”
Frank Sblendorio Jr. and ShopRite Sunrise Kitchens have long been supporters of community initiatives throughout Parsippany, and this donation further demonstrates their commitment to giving back and supporting those who work every day to make Parsippany a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
The Parsippany PAL remains committed to serving the community through partnerships, volunteerism, and initiatives that positively impact the residents of Parsippany.
