Dear Editor:

I am writing in reference to the recent removal of three members of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Committee. This decision deserves the attention of every resident who cares about how our township is represented and governed.
The mayor’s office carries with it a responsibility to uphold the reputation of this town on behalf of its people. Every judgment made from that office reflects not just on the administration, but on the residents of the Township as a whole. That is why the mayor’s office should be held to a high standard of accountability โ the decisions made there don’t stay behind closed doors, they shape how Parsippany-Troy Hills is seen by everyone who lives here and everyone looking in from outside.
The decision of the Township Council and the Mayor was the appropriate one, and as a resident, I stand behind their decision. This was not anything political โ it was doing what is right for Parsippany.
