PARSIPPANY โ€” Zoetis Inc., the animal health company headquartered at 10 Sylvan Way in Parsippany, has appointed James “Jay” Saccaro as executive vice president, chief financial officer and chief operating officer, effective Monday, August 17. The newly created position combines oversight of the company’s global finance function with direct responsibility for its manufacturing and supply chain operations. The appointment was announced Thursday, August 6.

In the role, Saccaro will oversee capital allocation, financial strategy, internal controls, reporting and investor relations. He will also lead the company’s Global Manufacturing and Supply organization, which handles supply chain execution and production efficiency across its worldwide operations.

Current chief financial officer Wetteny Joseph will step down from the role on August 17 and remain with the company as a special advisor to chief executive officer Kristin Peck into early 2027. Peck credited Joseph with guiding Zoetis through five years of significant investment, organizational change and business expansion.

Saccaro joins Zoetis from GE HealthCare, where he served as vice president and chief financial officer, helping build the company’s financial and operational infrastructure following its launch as an independent public company. Before that, he spent more than two decades at Baxter International, including eight years as executive vice president and chief financial officer, where he directed finance and information technology, led margin improvement and cash flow initiatives, and oversaw business development for the company’s five billion dollar Medication Delivery unit. He also served as chief financial officer at Hill-Rom Corporation before returning to Baxter. He began his career in strategic planning at The Walt Disney Company and holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in engineering-economic systems, both from Stanford University.

Zoetis said the newly combined role reflects an effort to bring financial planning and manufacturing execution closer together as the company expands its product portfolio. Peck said Saccaro’s experience balancing research and development investment with operational discipline fits the company’s growth plans across medicines, vaccines, diagnostics and related technologies.

Zoetis operates in more than one hundred countries, developing medicines, vaccines, diagnostics, biopharmaceuticals and digital tools for livestock producers, veterinarians and pet owners. The company reported two point five billion dollars in second quarter revenue.
