PARSIPPANY โ Nick Sota, secretary of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Committee and an editor for Parsippany Focus, recently helped secure a $5,000 contribution benefiting the Foundation of the New Jersey District of Kiwanis.
The $5,000 check, dated July 13, 2026, was issued by DCIU for Kids to the Foundation of the New Jersey District of Kiwanis. The contribution will help support the foundationโs efforts and the broader mission of Kiwanis to serve children and strengthen communities.
Sota helped facilitate the contribution, bringing together organizations with a shared interest in supporting youth and community-based programs. His role in helping secure the donation adds to his continued involvement in civic, economic development and community initiatives in Parsippany.
As secretary of the Parsippany-Troy Hills Economic Development Committee, Sota is involved in the committeeโs work supporting local businesses, encouraging economic growth and strengthening connections between businesses and the community. The committee regularly works with local business owners, community organizations and municipal leaders on initiatives designed to promote Parsippany as a place to live, work and do business.
Sota also serves as an editor for Parsippany Focus, where he is involved in local news coverage and community-focused reporting. Through that role, he has remained connected to local businesses, nonprofit organizations and residents throughout Parsippany.
Kiwanis is a service organization centered on improving the lives of children through volunteerism, fundraising and community programs. Local and district-level Kiwanis organizations support a variety of initiatives focused on youth development, education, community service and assistance for families.
The Foundation of the New Jersey District of Kiwanis works alongside Kiwanis clubs throughout the state to help provide resources for programs benefiting children and communities. Contributions such as the $5,000 donation help support those efforts and expand the organizationโs ability to assist local initiatives.
Sotaโs involvement in helping secure the contribution reflects the type of partnership that can develop between local leaders, nonprofit organizations and community groups working toward a shared goal.
The donation will provide additional support to the New Jersey Kiwanis Foundation as it continues its work serving children and communities throughout the state.
