PARSIPPANY — A 31-year-old autistic man who left his Califon Road residence early Tuesday morning has been found safe, according to sources close to the family.
Jigar Prajapati was last seen at approximately 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, prompting police to ask for the public’s help locating him. He had left on foot sometime between 3:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. and was wearing blue pajama pants and a gray T-shirt. He is described as approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 160 pounds, and he did not have his cellphone with him.
A helicopter assisted in the search over Lake Parsippany as of 9:10 a.m. Tuesday before Mr. Prajapati was located.
Police had asked residents in the surrounding area to check their properties and review available surveillance or security camera footage for possible sightings.
