PARSIPPANY — One person was injured after a two-vehicle crash sent a car spinning into oncoming lanes on Parsippany Road on Friday, October 2, at 6:44 p.m.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Officer Antonio Piccininni investigated the crash, which occurred on Parsippany Road near East Halsey Road, at the exit ramp from Route 287 North.

According to the police report, Luzeberte Sthubert, 38, of Jersey City, was driving a 2014 Toyota Camry off the Route 287 North ramp to make a right turn onto Parsippany Road. At the same time, Arun Yenugu, 28, of Glassboro, was traveling southbound on Parsippany Road in the second lane in a 2026 Mazda CX-5, passing the intersection of East Halsey Road.

The 2014 Toyota Camry driven by Luzeberte Sthubert, 38, of Jersey City, with damage to its driver side doors after the crash on Parsippany Road near East Halsey Road.

Sthubert failed to observe the Mazda in the second lane while switching from the first lane to the second lane, causing the two vehicles to collide. The Mazda struck the Toyota on the driver side doors, causing the Toyota to spin 160 degrees into the oncoming lanes.

Sthubert told police she did not observe any vehicle in the lane when switching and that the other driver was speeding. Yenugu told police that the Toyota suddenly changed lanes into his lane.

Through his investigation, Officer Piccininni determined Sthubert to be at fault for unsafely changing lanes and failure to yield the right of way.

Yenugu was traveling with three passengers, including a Parsippany resident. One person was reported injured in the crash.

The Toyota was driven from the scene. The Mazda was towed from the scene disabled.

The report was reviewed by Edward Conklin, and the case remains pending.
