PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany Hills High School Key Club, in conjunction with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany, collected cleaning supplies for Visions and Pathways.
According to Keshav Patel, the drive ran from Friday, September 18, through Wednesday, September 30, and collected 40 items, with 20 students participating.
Visions and Pathways, formerly known as Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children, was New Jersey’s first private nonprofit youth shelter. Based in Bridgewater, with a Street Smart outreach office in Morristown, the organization provides abused, neglected and homeless youth with housing, a stable environment and supportive services to help them become self-sufficient.
The Key Club is a student service organization sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany.
In an ongoing effort, the Parsippany Hills High School Key Club wants to work with the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany on its monthly fundraising efforts.
“These students gave their own time to help young people who need it most, and they should be proud of what they accomplished,” said Frank Cahill, President of the Kiwanis Club of Greater Parsippany. “Key Club members are the future of Kiwanis. We welcome the chance to partner with them on our monthly fundraisers, because together we can do even more for our community.”
Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time.
