PARSIPPANY — Wingstop is coming to Parsippany, taking over the former BCB Bank location at The Shoppes at Parsippany, 1470 Route 46.
The BCB Bank branch at the shopping center has permanently closed, and the space will be converted into the new restaurant. An opening date has not yet been released.
The Parsippany restaurant will give local wing fans a closer option. Today, the nearest Wingstop locations are in Morristown, at 123 Morris Street, and in Wharton, at 321 Route 15. Other area locations include Totowa, at 79 Union Boulevard, and Clifton.
What Sets Wingstop Apart
Unlike many chicken chains built around fried chicken pieces or sandwiches, Wingstop focuses on chicken wings, which the company says are always cooked to order, then hand-sauced and tossed in the customer’s choice of flavor. The menu offers a range of signature flavors, from mild options such as Garlic Parmesan and Lemon Pepper to Original Hot, Cajun and the fiery Atomic.

Customers can order classic bone-in wings, boneless wings or chicken tenders. Meals come with house-made sides, including the chain’s fresh-cut, seasoned fries, along with ranch and blue cheese dips.
The restaurants are also known for their 1930s and 1940s aviation theme, reflected in the company’s tagline, “Where Flavor Gets Its Wings.”
Wingstop was founded in 1994 in Garland, Texas, and is now headquartered in Dallas. The company has grown to more than 3,000 restaurants worldwide, operating in about 15 countries.
Parsippany Focus will provide updates on the opening as more information becomes available.
