PARSIPPANY — Meximodo Cocina Mexicana and Tequila Bar is getting closer to opening its doors on Route 10. An orange “Coming Soon” sign bearing the restaurant’s logo has gone up on the construction barrier outside its space at District 15Fifteen, the mixed-use development between Johnson Road and Dryden Way.
Meximodo is owned by Le Malt Hospitality Group, led by founder and Chief Executive Officer Saurabh Abrol, whose other concepts include Le Malt Lounge in Colonia and Le Malt Royale in Red Bank. The brand debuted on Pearl Street in Metuchen and has since opened a second location at the Haus25 tower in downtown Jersey City. A Marlboro location is also planned.

The restaurant is best known for its bar. Meximodo was recognized by Guinness World Records for the largest selection of agave spirits commercially available, with 1,033 different bottles of tequila, mezcal and other agave spirits. The menu features handcrafted tacos, signature margaritas, entrees and craft cocktails.
Before launching the concept, Abrol took his team to Mexico City for inspiration, including visits to Coyoacán Market and a tour through the town of Tequila.
Meximodo joins a growing lineup of dining options at District 15Fifteen, where Kura Revolving Sushi Bar, Burton’s Grill and Bar and O’Bagel are already open, and Basha, Haraz Coffee House and others are preparing to open. The development includes 498 luxury apartments and nearly 59,000 square feet of retail space.
An opening date has not been set. For updates, click here to visit the Meximodo website.
