The restaurant celebrated with a private Ribbon Cutting Celebration on Monday, October 19, and officially opened to the public on Tuesday, October 20, at 4:00 p.m. at 1525 Route 10. It serves as the anchor sit-down restaurant of the mixed-use development, which replaced a vacant office campus between Johnson Road and Dryden Way and continues to add shops and eateries.

A 30-seat bar anchors the main room, which is decorated with Audubon-inspired murals and abundant greenery. A private dining room with built-in audiovisual equipment seats up to 46 guests for business meetings, showers and celebrations, and a 64-seat outdoor patio features ceiling fans, lighting, overhead heaters and lounge seating.

“Bringing Burtons Grill & Bar to New Jersey is a milestone moment for our team,” said Chief Executive Officer John Haggai. “We can’t wait to introduce guests to the Burtons experience.”

Haggai said the company hopes to “become the go-to restaurant for couples, colleagues, friends, and families alike,” adding that at District 15Fifteen, “the energy and sense of community is tailor-made for what Burtons offers.”

Built for Guests With Food Allergies

Since its founding in 2005, Burtons has built its reputation on accommodating food allergies and dietary preferences. The kitchen will customize nearly any menu item for guests with allergies or dietary restrictions, and the restaurant offers an extensive dedicated gluten-free menu, with gluten-free versions of its Classic, Prime and Veggie burgers, Chicken Piccata, Bolognese and Lobster Roll. Even the Seven-Layer Chocolate Cake is gluten-free, and most brunch dishes can be prepared gluten-free.

The restaurant follows food allergy protocols covering all allergies, and every staff member completes allergy training.

Haggai said the company grows carefully and selectively, and additional New Jersey locations are under consideration.
