PARSIPPANY — PJDS Fitness LLC has acquired four Orangetheory Fitness studios in Parsippany, Denville, Rockaway, and Roxbury from Hudson Fitness, expanding its footprint across Northern New Jersey. The transaction closed April 20, 2026.
The acquisition positions the family-owned PJDS Fitness as a growing operator in the Morris County fitness market, with plans to invest in studio teams, enhance member experience, and explore further expansion.
“We’re excited to welcome these studios into our family business and build on the strong foundation already in place,” said Phil DeCarlo Schnepper, President of PJDS Fitness LLC. “This acquisition allows us to continue investing in our communities while bringing a proven fitness experience to more members across the region. Orangetheory offers a unique combination of strength and cardio training with built-in coaching, which supports long-term consistency and results.”
Jim DeCarlo Schnepper, Chairman of PJDS Fitness LLC, said the deal sets the stage for continued growth. “This acquisition positions us for future growth as we remain focused on building strong teams and a commitment to certified coaching excellence for our communities.”
Hudson Fitness, the previous ownership group, built a loyal membership base across the four locations. Tara Hudson, Co-Founder of Hudson Fitness Orangetheory, expressed confidence in the handoff. “Phil and Jim are operators, not just investors,” she said. “They understand how to build teams and businesses, and they are committed to growing this the right way.”
The transition is expected to ensure continuity for existing members and staff. PJDS Fitness has indicated additional details regarding a re-grand opening and future initiatives will be announced in the coming weeks.
Orangetheory Fitness is a coach-led group training concept combining strength and cardio in a single session, with nearly 1,500 studios across 49 states and 19 countries. More information is available at orangetheory.com.
