PARSIPPANY โ The Township Council of Parsippany-Troy Hills voted unanimously Tuesday, September 1 to approve a $75,000 contract for a partial roof replacement at Town Hall, continuing a project that began with an earlier phase of repairs.
Resolution R2026-201 awards the contract to Northeast Roof Maintenance, Inc., of Perth Amboy, for what is described as “Phase II” of the partial roof replacement at Town Hall. The contract was awarded through the Bergen County Cooperative Purchasing System, a cooperative purchasing program that allows municipalities to acquire goods and services without a separate public bidding process, under state law governing local public contracts.
According to the resolution, Northeast Roof Maintenance submitted a proposal in the amount of $75,000 for the work. Because the cost exceeds the township’s bid threshold of $53,000, state regulations required the council to formally approve the award.
The township’s Chief Financial Officer certified that sufficient funds are available in the current budget to cover the cost, which will be charged to a designated capital account.
The resolution authorizes the mayor, township administrator, chief financial officer, township attorney, township clerk, purchasing agent, and other necessary officials to execute the documents needed to finalize the contract.
