PARSIPPANY โ€” The Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Athletic League (PAL) plans to establish a new Field Hockey Division as part of its continued commitment to expanding youth athletic opportunities throughout Parsippany and the surrounding communities.

The PAL is working alongside Finch State Field Hockey and its founder, Mohammad Ali Rahman, to develop a comprehensive field hockey program designed to accommodate athletes of various ages and experience levels. The initiative represents another step in the PAL’s ongoing efforts to introduce new sports, strengthen existing programs, and provide local families with additional recreational and competitive opportunities.

Rahman, known as Ali, brings more than 15 years of international playing and coaching experience across the United Kingdom, Europe, and Australia. His background includes competitive league participation, national championships, elite athlete development, and coaching athletes at various levels of the sport. As plans for the new division develop, Rahman will play an important role in helping establish the program’s structure, training opportunities, and long-term vision.

“We are constantly looking for ways to expand what the PAL can offer our community,” said Nicholas Bronzino, Executive Director of the Parsippany-Troy Hills PAL. “Field hockey is another exciting opportunity for us to reach more young athletes and introduce a sport that continues to grow in popularity. Having someone with Ali’s experience, knowledge, and passion involved in developing this program is something we’re extremely excited about.”

The PAL is currently working on registration opportunities for upcoming field hockey seasons, additional instructional clinics, player development programs, and potential competitive travel teams. The goal is to establish a program that welcomes beginners while also providing opportunities for experienced athletes interested in advancing their skills and competing at higher levels.

“Our vision has always been about creating opportunities,” Bronzino continued. “Whether it’s basketball, baseball, softball, wrestling, cheerleading, field hockey, or any of our other programs, we want the PAL to be a place where families know their children have opportunities to learn, compete, and grow. Every new program we introduce is another opportunity to positively impact a young person’s life.”

The PAL will host two informational meetings for parents, prospective athletes, coaches, and community members interested in learning more about the new Field Hockey Division:

  • Monday, November 16, 6:30 p.m.
  • Friday, November 20, 6:30 p.m.

Both meetings will be held at the Parsippany-Troy Hills PAL. Families will learn about the proposed program structure, upcoming clinics, anticipated registration opportunities, and the future direction of field hockey at the PAL.

The PAL is also seeking passionate and dedicated individuals interested in coaching and supporting the growth of field hockey in Parsippany. Individuals with playing, coaching, or instructional experience are encouraged to express their interest. For coaching inquiries or additional information, contact Mohammad Ali Rahman at [email protected].

The development of a Field Hockey Division reflects the PAL’s broader commitment to expanding its athletic and community programming while creating an environment where young people can develop confidence, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong skills. Under Bronzino’s leadership, the organization continues to explore new opportunities that bring together experienced program directors, coaches, families, and community organizations.

“One of the things I’m most proud of is the continued growth of our PAL family,” Bronzino added. “We have individuals who are passionate about their respective sports and dedicated to helping young athletes succeed. As we welcome new programs and new faces, our focus remains on building something that benefits the entire community.”

Details on field hockey registration, clinics, coaching opportunities, and future programming will be released as plans are finalized.
