PARSIPPANY โ The Parsippany Police Athletic League (PAL) has received national recognition from the National Association of Police Athletic/Activities Leagues for its continued efforts to strengthen the Parsippany community through youth programming, local partnerships and community-focused initiatives.
The national organization recently highlighted Parsippany PAL’s back-to-school haircut initiative with Stagliรฒ Barber & Co., which provided free haircuts to local children and families ahead of the new school year.
The initiative was featured as an example of how local PAL chapters are making a positive impact in their communities by bringing together youth, families and local businesses.
For Parsippany PAL, the recognition represents something larger than a single event.
“To have the work being done here in Parsippany recognized on a national level is something our entire organization and community can be proud of,” said Nicholas Bronzino, Executive Director of the Parsippany PAL. “Our goal has been to expand what people think of when they hear PAL. Sports will always be an important part of who we are, but our mission goes beyond athletics. It’s about creating opportunities, building relationships and finding new ways to support the children and families of Parsippany.”
The back-to-school initiative partnered the PAL with Stagliรฒ Barber & Co. to offer complimentary haircuts to area youth. The program was designed to help students begin the school year feeling confident and prepared while demonstrating what can happen when community organizations and local businesses work together.
The recognition comes during a period of continued growth for Parsippany PAL, which has expanded its athletic programming, educational and enrichment opportunities, community events, business partnerships and initiatives designed to directly support local families.
“This recognition belongs to everyone who has helped move the PAL forward โ our Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, coaches, families, community partners, local businesses, Township leadership and the Parsippany Police Department,” Bronzino added. “When everyone works together with the same purpose, we can make a tremendous impact.”
