PARSIPPANY โ LoMotion Live will present “America at 250: A Celebration in Song,” a benefit cabaret supporting the Elks Army of Hope, on Friday, July 17, at 7:30 p.m. at the Parsippany Arts Center, 1130 Knoll Road.
The evening celebrates the spirit, history and heart of America through a collection of musical performances and stories. The cast includes Broadway actress Danielle Ferland, who originated the role of Little Red Riding Hood in Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods” and appeared in the film “tick, tick…BOOM!,” alongside film and television actor Dave Murgittroyd, whose credits include “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” “New Amsterdam,” “FBI: Most Wanted” and “Elsbeth.”
Also appearing is Dayna Grayber, whose theater credits include “The Little Match Girl” at Signature Theatre and the national tours of “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee” and “The Producers,” along with Tait Ruppert, Missy Renwick, Elissa Strell, Scott Baird, Taylor Kurilew and Tasha R. Williams.
Proceeds from the evening will benefit the Elks Army of Hope, a charitable program that provides assistance to veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families during times of need.
“We’re honored to bring our community together through music while supporting those who have served our country,” said Lauren Moran, Producing Artistic Director. “This event is a celebration of America’s enduring spirit and an opportunity to give back to the heroes and families who have sacrificed so much.”
As the nation celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence this year, “America at 250: A Celebration in Song” offers audiences an opportunity to reflect on the country’s history, resilience and shared values through live performance.
Community members are encouraged to attend this evening of entertainment and philanthropy.
