โ€œThis is what building a strong community is all about,โ€ Desai said. โ€œParsippany is more than a place to live; it is a community where residents, businesses and local government come together. We are pleased to welcome the residents of Lexica and make sure they know about the many programs, services and businesses available throughout our township.โ€

Residents also received information and special offers from participating local merchants, including Outback Steakhouse, Applebeeโ€™s and Chick-fil-A Parsippany, among others.

Economic Development Committee Chairman Frank Cahill said the program is designed to build a connection between new residents and Parsippanyโ€™s business community from the moment they arrive.

โ€œOur goal is to reach out to new residents, welcome them to Parsippany and introduce them to the local businesses that help make our community special,โ€ Cahill said. โ€œWhen residents shop, dine and do business locally, they are supporting their neighbors and strengthening Parsippanyโ€™s economy. The Welcome to Our Community program creates that connection from day one.โ€

The gathering also gave residents an opportunity to meet Mayor Desai and members of the Economic Development Committee in an informal setting while learning more about their new community.

Lexica Property Manager Marcy Cowen, Maintenance Supervisor Michael Uzzi and Assistant Property Manager Matthew Perez represented the property during the event.
