PARSIPPANY โ€” Chemical manufacturer AdvanSix will remain at 300 Kimball Drive after signing an 18,000-square-foot lease renewal with Signature Acquisitions, the building’s owner, the firm said on Friday, October 23.

The five-story, 400,000-square-foot Class A office building sits on a nine-acre site at the intersection of Interstate 80, Interstate 287 and Route 46, giving tenants easy access for commuters from across the region. It is considered one of the most sought-after headquarters locations in northern New Jersey.

AdvanSix is a chemical company that produces nylon solutions, plant nutrients and chemical intermediates.

Sandy Monaghan, senior vice president of Signature Acquisitions, said location, accessibility and amenities are important to companies like AdvanSix, and called the renewal “a strong vote of confidence” in both the building and the firm as operators.

Tenant amenities at 300 Kimball Drive include a fitness center, a full-service cafeteria, a golf simulator and a game room and tenant lounge.

Headquartered in Parsippany, AdvanSix became an independent company on October 1, 2016, when Honeywell completed its separation. The company’s main product is Nylon 6, a polymer resin sold globally under the Aegis brand name, which customers use to make engineered plastics, fibers, filaments and films. Those materials end up in products such as automotive and electronic components, carpets, sports apparel, fishing nets and food and industrial packaging.

AdvanSix runs five manufacturing sites, all in the United States: Frankford, Pennsylvania; Hopewell, Chesterfield and Portsmouth, Virginia; and Bucks, Alabama. Its Hopewell plant is one of the world’s largest single-site producers of caprolactam, the building block of Nylon 6, and the largest single-site producer of ammonium sulfate fertilizer, which the company sells under the Sulf-N brand.
