PARSIPPANY โ The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms, the early 20th-century historic home of Gustav Stickley, will host three free Craftsmas Open Houses on Saturday, November 28, Saturday, December 5, and Saturday, December 12, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The Craftsmas Open Houses will take place across the Craftsman Farms property and will include open house access to the Log House, which will be adorned with period-inspired Arts and Crafts holiday dรฉcor.
Docents will be available throughout the Log House to share information about the history and significance of the site. The Craftsman Shop will be open for holiday shopping, where guests will be able to choose from a selection of contemporary Arts and Crafts and seasonal gifts, including custom jewelry and pottery, home dรฉcor items, the museumโs childrenโs book, interactive toys, and other visitor favorites.
The Education Center will offer guests of all ages the opportunity to participate in holiday craft activities inspired by the colors, textures, and symbols of the winter season. The space will also feature artisans with whom visitors can collaborate on holiday-inspired demonstrations that relate to objects found throughout the museum.
Admission is free, but guests are encouraged to embrace the spirit of giving by bringing canned goods, dry goods, miscellaneous items, or household essentials to support the Parsippany Emergency Food Pantry. A list of requested donation items is available on the museumโs website.
For those looking for even more Craftsmas experiences, the museum will offer Log House Holiday Tours every weekend beginning Thanksgiving weekend. On this guided tour of the decorated Log House, attendees will explore early 20th-century holiday traditions and Gustav Stickleyโs own seasonal celebrations. Regular admission fees apply.
