Parsippany — Parsippany High School boys soccer continued its undefeated start Wednesday, defeating Whippany Park, 2-0, to improve to 4-0.
Julius Rodriguez opened the scoring with an outstanding individual effort. Julius created the opportunity himself, beat the defense, and finished without an assist to put Parsippany ahead.
Sairam “Sai” Balaji later doubled the lead after receiving an assist from captain Christian Castaño. Sai once again delivered in front of the goal, continuing his impressive scoring run of scoring a goal every game this season so far.
Rodrigo Esquivel was named man of the match by his teammates following a tremendous performance. His five goal-line clearances sure helped Parsippany keep a clean sheet and wind the game. Rodrigo’s effort helped Parsippany remain in control and secure another important victory.

The biggest story of the game, however, was Parsippany’s defense.
The Redhawks’ defensive line produced a beautiful performance from beginning to end. Whippany Park repeatedly searched for a way through, but Parsippany refused to give one. The defenders stayed committed, fought for one another, and protected the lead until the final whistle.
The victory was a proper team effort, but the defense deserves special recognition for making itself nearly impossible to break down. Every time Whippany Park attempted to respond, Parsippany stood firm.
Despite entering a new conference division and facing different opponents, the Redhawks have continued winning. Four games into the season, Parsippany remains undefeated, Sai keeps scoring, and the defense has shown it can shut down its opposition.
