MORRIS COUNTY — A 23-year-old Parsippany man was arrested on an outstanding warrant after Denville police spotted him walking along the center median of Route 46 on Wednesday, September 23.
At approximately 4:16 p.m., officers from the Denville Police Department observed an individual walking on the center median of the highway. Officers identified the man as Joshua Aguirre and determined that he had an active National Crime Information Center (NCIC) warrant out of Raritan Municipal Court.
Aguirre was placed under arrest and transported to Denville Police Headquarters. Following processing, he was issued a summons for walking on the median of a divided highway. Aguirre was then turned over to the Raritan Township Police Department.
Aguirre was charged with the following:
- Active NCIC Warrant — Raritan Municipal Court
- Pedestrian on Median of Divided Highway (N.J.S.A. 39:4-34)
