PARSIPPANY โ Julia M. Cohen, 35, of Mountain Lakes, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after a Parsippany-Troy Hills Police officer stopped her vehicle on Boulevard near Route 46 on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
According to a police report, an officer patrolling the area of Route 46 and Fox Hill Road observed a red sedan fail to stop at a red traffic signal before proceeding through the intersection. The officer followed the vehicle, which turned onto Boulevard, and conducted a motor vehicle stop at approximately 8:18 p.m.
The officer reported detecting an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Cohen, who initially said she had not consumed alcohol before stating she had three beers.
Additional officers arrived on scene and administered standard field sobriety tests. Cohen was subsequently arrested and charged.
Cohen was charged with:
- Driving while intoxicated
- Reckless driving
- Failure to observe a traffic control device
- Careless driving, likely to endanger person or property
She is scheduled to appear in Parsippany-Troy Hills Municipal Court.
