PARSIPPANY — Excelcare welcomed community leaders and partners on Wednesday, September 23, for a first look at the newly renovated Unit 3 at Excelcare at Troy Hills.
The renovated unit features 18 private rooms, each with a private bathroom and shower, as well as a recliner for visiting family members, creating an environment designed around comfort, dignity, and healing.
The facility has been part of the Troy Hills community for many years. After a long period without significant renovations or capital investment, Excelcare is putting that investment back into the building and, most importantly, into the patients and families it serves.
More work is on the way. Over the coming months, Excelcare will continue transforming Troy Hills, with the next unit already underway, followed by renovations to the common areas and dining room, along with a brand-new rehabilitation gym designed to create an uplifting environment for patients as they work toward recovery.
Excelcare describes its mission as helping patients recover safely, regain their independence, and return home after a major medical episode, while making their journey as comfortable and positive as possible.
As part of that mission, Excelcare works closely with the three major hospital systems closest to the community: Saint Clare’s, Morristown Medical Center, and Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Those relationships allow the facility to work collaboratively across the continuum of care and help create a smoother transition for patients from the hospital to rehabilitation and, ultimately, back home.
Excelcare is also developing a dedicated Indian-focused clinical and community program, supported by several Indian physicians who have already joined its network. While the program will help better serve the Indian community, its doors and services remain open to all patients and families throughout the region.
Excelcare thanked Mayor Pulkit Desai and Frank Cahill for attending, supporting the investment in the community, and helping build meaningful community partnerships. The company said it is grateful for the warm welcome from Parsippany and looks forward to more collaborations, continued investment, and new chapters ahead.
