MORRIS COUNTY — Employment Horizons celebrated its Annual Recognition Dinner on Thursday, October 8, at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park with Honorary Chair Senator Anthony M. Bucco.
This annual fundraiser recognizes the achievements of the organization’s program participants and celebrates the community and corporate partnerships that support Employment Horizons’ mission: to assist people with disabilities in fulfilling their vocational goals.
Event sponsors included Presentation Benefactors Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey, Paul Miller Auto Group and Solid Development Group.
Dinner honorees included Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey (Fulfillment Customer of the Year), John Fishinger (Distinguished Service Award), Jeff Green (Outstanding Volunteer Award), Anthony Pandullo (William Huber Achievement Award) and Malcolm Rackley (Workforce Inclusion Trailblazer Award).
Rackley was recognized for his determination and steadfast work ethic. He spoke at the event about his work on-site at Employment Horizons in its fulfillment and culinary arts departments, and how building skills there and working with Employment Horizons’ staff helped him find community-based employment at a local movie theatre and in the dining services department of a nursing home.
Employment Horizons is the premier not-for-profit agency providing comprehensive employment, training and job placement services to persons with disabilities in the greater Morris County area. Through an innovative suite of programs, Employment Horizons helps individuals with disabilities develop job skills and attain employment and economic independence through job training, placement and ongoing support services. Services are person-centered and tailored to meet each individual’s needs and goals.
