PARSIPPANY — Mayor Pulkit Desai and the Township of Parsippany-Troy Hills invite residents to bring a backpack and join a community 5K Ruck March to honor and support veterans on Saturday, November 7, at 9:00 a.m. All are welcome.
Participants are asked to fill a backpack with essential supplies and carry it along the 5K route. All donated backpacks will be distributed by the New Jersey Veterans Network (NJVN) to veterans in shelters, hospitals, and nursing homes throughout New Jersey.
The march will begin at Knoll Country Club West, 990 Greenbank Road, and finish at Super Foodtown, 435 North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha.
Backpacks should be filled with socks, underwear, soap, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, wipes, non-perishable snacks, and other personal hygiene essentials.
