PARSIPPANY — The Knoll Country Club, East and West courses are now open. The Knoll West was designed as a championship course by Charles H. Banks in 1929. It is a par 70 course playing 6,878 yards from the black tees and 6,479 yards from the blue tees. The Knoll East, established in 1961 and designed by Hal Purdy is a par 70 course, playing 5,884 yards from the white tees.
While the Knoll West has a large membership base, it is open for play to non-members, as well. The Knoll West also offers discounted 9-hole green and cart fees for Parsippany seniors, whether they obtain a membership with the club or not. They also offer a plethora of clinics, camps, lesson options and bootcamps; ranging from ladies leagues, junior clinics and junior golf camp during the summer months.
The Knoll West will be hosting a free junior clinic for children ranging from four years old to six years old and seven year olds to 14 years old at the Knoll West Driving Range on Saturday, April 6 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with times ranging until 2:30 p.m.
The Ladies Academy will be split into four semesters with two package options. The first package option is the “academy package,” which includes 4 academy classes and one operation 36 match for $150.00. The second package is the “player package,” which includes four academy classes, two supervised practices and one operation 36 match for $225.00.
The first semester will begin April 24 to May 18. The second semester will be May 22 to June 15. The third semester will be June 19 to July 13. The dates for semester four have yet to be determined. Please check back for updates.
They will also be offering a new golfer bootcamp for beginner golfers. Only eight spots are available per bootcamp. There are currently three sessions scheduled:
Saturday, April 20 at 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Saturday, May 18 at 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, June 22 at 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Each session is priced at $100.00 and is open to all adults and juniors (16 and above.) All of the above clinics and programs are to take place at the Knoll West and the Knoll Driving Range. To register for any of the above clinics or programs, please contact Danielle DeLuca at (973) 263-7110.
The Knoll East has a yearly pass holder option which allows for reduced rates during play. Parsippany residents can obtain a pass for only $50.00 and Non-residents can obtain a pass for $150.00.
