PARSIPPANY — Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Patrol Officer S. Abrusci observed a 2007 Honda Civic fail to maintain its lane while travelling west on Route 46 on Saturday, September 29 at 4:11 p.m.
He conducted a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle and made contact with the driver, Tahir Quraishi, 30, Parsippany.
After a brief investigation he was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, suspected THC powder, suspected THC wax/Hashish, and drug paraphernalia.
He was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters for processing. While there he was charged with the following: one count of Third Degree Manufacturing/Distributing/Possession with the Intent to Distribute more than 50 grams of Marijuana; one count of Fourth Degree Possession of more than 50 grams of Marijuana
one count of Third Degree Possession or Distribution of CDS within 1,000 Feet of School Property (over 50 grams of Marijuana); Possession of Less than Five Grams of Hashish and THC Wax, a Disorderly Persons Offense Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Disorderly Persons Offense; Possession of CDS in a Motor Vehicle (Traffic Offense) and Failure to Maintain Lane (Traffic Offense) He was released on his own recognizance pending his court date.
