Shoplifting arrest at Bed, Bath and Beyond

PARSIPPANY — Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Officers responded to the Bed, Bath, and Beyond located at 790 Route 46 for a shoplifting at 2:49 p.m. on September 20.

While in route to the store, officers were advised that the suspect was walking through the Arlington Plaza parking lot.

Patrol Officer Gerit Tosh located Keith Green, 22, New York, walking through the parking lot near K-Mart.

After a brief investigation, it was determined that Mr. Green exited Bed, Bath, and Beyond with a shopping cart containing seven items worth approximately $856.00 that he did not pay for.

Mr. Green abandoned the cart in the parking lot and continued walking away after the cashier exited the store and told him to stop.

Mr. Green was placed under arrest for shoplifting and transported to police headquarters for processing.

While there he was charged with one count of Shoplifting in the 3rd Degree.

He was also found to have an active NCIC warrant from Stroud Area Regional Police Department, PA

He was transported to the Morris County Correctional Facility pending his court hearing.
