Morris Habitat for Humanity Forms Young Professionals Group

Want to network with other young professionals (ages 20-30’s), attend networking events, and donate time for a good cause? Then join this newly forming group organized through Morris Habitat for Humanity, known as the Morris Habitat Young Professionals.

The organizers are working on establishment of this group for a combination of volunteer and social activities. On the volunteer side participants will do what it takes to help build affordable housing. This can include building on a construction site, helping in the Morris Habitat ReStore, advocating for affordable housing by spreading the word at the workplace, congregations, civic groups, and community and much, much more. The sky is the limit!

On the social side, they will be looking at ways to have fun, mingle, make friends, and build lasting relationships with the upcoming “future executives” of the world.   The group wants to encourage young people to become involved and stay actively involved with Morris Habitat. This is a group FOR young people, run BY young people. As it is just forming, you will be able to impact its direction and growth!

Christopher Kerney, one of the organizers for the new group said, “I’m excited to be on the foundational ground (pun intended) of the Morris Habitat Young Professionals. Together we can bring awareness about Morris Habitat, donate our time for a great cause, and have a lot of fun along the way. If you’re interested in making a difference in your community or just looking to network with other young professionals, this is the committee for you.”

Right now help is needed to spread the word about this new group…consider becoming a part of this adventure, and/or share this information with your friends, as well as, those in your family, company, congregation, gym, etc.
