Letter to the Editor: No place for bigotry in Parsippany

parsippany focus

My neighbor asked me to watch the video of the most recent Council meeting.  She and I were both horrified that a fellow resident, Jerry Manning, spoke publicly about the the Waterview property controversy and said  the Council and mayor that the “tres caballeros on the council campaigned with their cohorts on the freeholder board to deny the request for green acres funds for the proposal.  Is it just a coincidence that all those involved have names that end with a vowel?

Council meetings are a place for the public to see our elected officials at work.  They are also a forum where members of the public may question and exchange ideas and opinions with those same officials.  Mr. Manning has every right to voice his opinions, but the bigoted rantings of one individual need to be exposed for exactly what they are.
