PARSIPPANY — Recently the Sons of Italy (Lodge 2561) held a “Spaghetti Diner” at Parsippany Fire District 5 to raise money for Par-Troy Wrestling Club. The cooks served pasta, meatballs, bread and salad. The money raised will be used to buy new mats for the team.

The Par-Troy Wrestling Club is open to Parsippany youths from pre-kindergarten to eighth grade.

In the spring of 2010, the parents and coaches of the Parsippany Junior Redhawks and the Parsippany Hills Junior Vikings came together and decided to join forces and create one team. Their motto became “One town,One team”. With that, the Par Troy Wrestling Club was formed. They have a full Board of Directors that oversee the club to ensure that it runs according to the By Laws that were set. The Junior Redhawks and Junior Vikings have a long established history, both teams have won many dual meets and league tournaments. Combining both sides of town will bring our kids together and make them a very strong squad.
