JCP&L driver falls asleep; tears down 6 sections of Reservoir fence

PARSIPPANY — The driver of a JCP&L truck, Peter Lindsay, 33, Clinton, was traveling west on Route 46 when he fell asleep at the wheel and lost control of the truck. His truck left the roadway, striking the curb, a post securing electrical wiring, the fence and damaging the lawn of the Jersey City Reservoir.

JC&&L responded to the scene to secure the electrical wire. Jersey City Water and Department of Transportation were advised of the incident.

There were no injuries reported. Parsippany-Troy Hills Police Officer Ernest Ebanks conducted the investigation.

This incident occurred at 5:29 a.m. on Sunday, November 7.
