Another Bank of America branch approximately 2.5 miles on Route 46, Pine Brook, will be closing in the near future.

CP Management received a conditional use variance and preliminary site plan approval from the Parsippany-Troy Hills Board of Adjustment to construct a Bank of America facility with two drive-thru lanes and a by-pass lane with associated parking at the front and rear of the building on Route 46 at North Beverwyck Road.

The building was previously occupied by Weichert Realtors.  Currently the entrance to the location is on Route 46 West, just past North Beverwyck Road. The board voted 5-2 in favor of this application with Jonathan Nelson and Brian Kelley voting against the application; both cited concerns allowing vehicles exiting on Hawkins Avenue, a residential street which parallels Route 46.

The portion of the property on the corner of Hawkins Avenue and North Beverwyck Road resides in a residential zone and will be used for additional parking and will provide an exit onto Hawkins Avenue.  There will be no exits directly onto North Beverwyck Road from the property, just one entrance to the bank building.

Bank of America has two branches less than two-and-a-half miles in both directions, one at 3035 Route 46 in the Morris Hills Shopping Center and another at 32 Route 46, Pine Brook. They recently closed a branch on North Beverwyck Road, Lake Hiawatha.

The Chariman of the Board is Robert Iracane, and it’s members are Mr. Berkowitz, Mr. Cappadona, Mr. Dickens, Ms. Gragnani, Mr. Kelley, Mr. Kimmey, Mr. Nelson and Mr. Shah. The board attorney is George Johnson, Esq., and the board planner is John Chadwick, IV.  The Board Engineer is Gordon Meth.
