Mr. Kanu Patel, 43, Parsippany, was traveling south on Fieldcrest Road, when he went around a vehicle that was parked legally at the curb, crossed the double yellow line and crashed into a 2011 Sliver Toyota Corolla driven by a 17 year old Parsippany resident.
Officer Smolen conducted the investigation and arrested the driver, Kanu Patel for suspicion of DWI. He was transported to Headquarters and issued a summons for Driving While Intoxicated pending a court appearance. His vehicle was towed at the scene and he was released from Headquarters to an acquaintance.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene by C & L Towing.
