PARSIPPANY — The Parsippany Diamonds defeated Nutley 4-3 to capture the championship, on Sunday, October 26.
Ty Sallie got the scoring started with a long home run in the first. Nick Durso pitched 3 shutout innings and left with a 2-0 lead. Nutley scored three in the 4th but the Diamonds bounced right back. Christian Fernandez hit a long double driving in two including the eventual game winner. Brandon Fontanella shut the door in the 5th and 6th. Nick Durso caught the final out on a hard line drive and the boys piled on Brandon to celebrate the win.
