New Jersey State Police responded to a report of an accident on Route 80 East near milepost 43 involving two tractor-trailers and a Volkswagen.

Firemen are under the tractor trailer cleaning up fuel that was spilled on the highway.

An accident that occurred Sunday afternoon, September 7, on Route 80 eastbound near Exit 43 created significant delays, according to the state Department of Transportation.

New Jersey State Police responded to a report of an accident near milepost 43 involving two tractor-trailers and a Volkswagen, at 2:50 p.m.

One of the truck drivers was transported to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries. The cause of the accident is under investigation.

Parsippany-Troy Hills Volunteer Fire Department District 6 responded to the scene to clean up fuel that was  spilled on the highway.

Calls to New Jersey State Police were not returned at the time this article was published.
