Driver with suspended license causes accident

On Friday, August 29 at approximately 4:30 p.m. there was a two car accident at the intersection of Lake Shore Drive and Roosevelt Avenue, Lake Hiawatha.

A 50 year old male from Lake Hiawatha, operating a 2004 Toyota Tacoma was proceeding West on Lake Shore Drive when a 2009 Nissan Maxima operated by a 24 year old male from Boonton, drove through the stop sign at Roosevelt Avenue, directly in front of the vehicle, causing his vehicle to crash into into the Toyota Tacoma. The 24 year old driver of the 2009 Nissan Maxima was found at fault and issued summonses for failure to stop and suspended driver’s license. The Nissan Maxima had a side airbag deployment. Both drivers did not require medical attention and no injuries were reported.
